Job Description

The main mandate of the employee will be to carry out all stages of the implementation of various automation projects, starting from the possibility study until the implementation of the new process in the company. The employee will also have to train users, ensure the functionality of the automation systems and carry out post-implementation follow-ups.

Tasks

The employee:
  • Researches the possibility, design and performance of enterprise automation projects;
  • Performs robotic design, programming, definition of technical characteristics and ensures the commissioning of parts to be designed on an ABB welding robot and various automation projects;
  • Ensures the proper functioning of all automated systems including machine tools, programmable logic controllers and an ABB robot;
  • Develops jigs for robotic welding;
  • Performs CNC programming;
  • Develops and writes technical documents for the maintenance and adjustment of automated systems and coordinates maintenance activities with the manager;
  • Manages the installation and proper functioning of the systems under his responsibility;
  • Optimizes equipment and delivers it to production;
  • Designs and maintains a personalized training plan for each type of user (operator, maintenance technician and production manager);
  • Actively participate in meetings to set up automation projects;
  • Plans production on the automated systems under his responsibility according to the schedule in order to meet the required production dates.

Skills

  • Very good speaking in French and good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of robotics simulation software including RobotStudio
  • In-depth knowledge of robotic products such as ABB robot welders
  • Be passionate about the development and design of new automation processes

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in automation engineering or any other relevant training;
  • 5+ years of experience in automation engineering
  • Be available occasionally in the evenings and weekends for the implementation of non-production programs

Salary

Hourly rate between $ 28 and $ 35 depending on experience
